Use the Accu-Chek 360° system to collect and analyze self-care data. Data transfer: USB cable connects to computer; Infrared (IR). > I've just bought the software an IR adaptor and I'm very pleased with. > > buy the software from Accu-Chek. An Accu-Chek Active the meter comes.

Accuchek has a free online program called diabetes assistant. Go to their website and you'll see the link on the left side of the page as you scroll down. They also have a standalone software program which you have to purchase. You'd also need the infrared receiver for your computer if it doesn't already have one. The meter has no ports save for the infrared transmitter on top.

I've used the free diabetes assistant program online but was not very impressed by it. I continue to use sugar stats and do manual entry. I already had an Aviva - When I called to order the software, I told the salesperson that I'd looked at the info and decided it was worth spending the money. He promptly said, well we'll give it to you.

I then asked the cost of a spare meter, explaining I wanted to have one at work and he gave me that, too. My original Aviva came from my insurance company as it's one of the ones they cover for strips. My first meter from the doctor, stopped being covered, so I called the insurance company to ask what I needed to do. They sent me the Accu-Chek. If you do get the software, they (Accu-Chek) have you call them when you are ready to install it.

They will then walk you through the install, with much patience. Call - it can't hurt. Let me know how it goes!
